Object of Rotary

The object of Rotary is to encourage and foster the idea of service as a basis

of worthy enterprise and, in particular, to encourage and foster:

First. The development of acquaintance as an opportunity for service;

Second. High ethical standards in business and professions: the recognition of the worthiness

of all useful occupations: and dignifying of each Rotarian’s occupation as an opportunity to service society;

Third. The application of the ideal of service in each Rotarians personal, business and community life;

Fourth. The advancement of international understanding, goodwill, and peace through

a world fellowship of business and professional persons united in the ideal of service.

The 4-Way Test

----------------------------------------------------

Of the things we think, say or do

1)   Is it the truth?

2)   Is it fair for all concerned?

3)   Will it build goodwill and better friendships?

4)   Will it be beneficial to all concerned?

     The Paul Harris Society

      Each year, Rotarians from every corner of the globe work to make our goal of World Peace and Understanding a reality through the projects and programs of The Rotary Foundation. Our Foundation's ability to serve humanity is limitless as long as we continue to live with "Service Above Self" as our life motto, in hands on projects and through our financial support.

District Rotary Foundation Chair and Chair of The Paul Harris Society, PDG Frank Bradshaw, cordially extend an invitation to any Rotarian in your club to become a Charter Member of The Paul Harris Society of Rotary International District 7870. Beginning in the Rotary Year of 2005-2006, every donor who annually contributes $1,000 to The Rotary Foundation will be awarded membership in The Paul Harris Society. The donation must be given to the Annual Fund of the Foundation, and Society Members will receive a special Certificate of Recognition and a distinctive gold and blue lapel banner that can be worn with their Rotary pin.
